Tisha B'Av on a Weekday
On Tisha B'Av, when it falls on any day, other than Shabbos (Friday night or Shabbos), mikvah immersion does not take place. Relations are not permitted. There are differences of opinion as to whether the harchokos are kept both at night and during the day. Please consult your Rav for detailed instructions.
Regarding Chafifah for Tevillah on Motzoei T'sha B'Av
Chafifah should begin on erev Tisha B'Av. One may cut nails, bathe/shower, etc, and the chafifah may then be completed after the fast, before tevillah.
If a full bath was taken Erev Tisha B'Av, then take a thorough shower after the fast and rewash, re-comb, re-inspect (Iyun). If no bath was taken erev, then a full bath should be taken after the fast. If a woman has difficulty doing the full bath after the fast and was unable to do so before the fast, please consult your Rav.
If chafifah was begun on erev Tisha B'Av, then minimum time for chafifah after the fast is 30 minutes. If nothing for chafifah is done erev Tisha B'Av, then minimum 1 hour chafifah after the fast.
Be sure to avoid walking barefoot on Tisha B'Av, between chafifah and the tevilla, wear shoes that are permitted to be worn on this day.
